Diploma in Interior & Exterior Designing
In this program, students also develop similar competencies with the general topic areas of trends, the principles of exterior design, landscapes, facade treatments, and urbanism. A significant part of the curriculum includes exposure to software applications such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3ds Max, allowing students to develop and visualize design ideas to be shared and be executed by the client in a timely and effective manner.
The curriculum balances and often creatively blends the design process with the knowledge of the discipline, so that students build a repertoire that will help them solve problems in a real-world design context, either in the private or public sphere, and then commercial. When students finish this program, they will have gained the preparation to become an interior designer, exterior property designer, or a consultant. Graduates can work at architecture firms, design studios, real estate, property management companies, or construction companies.
